I am a very stylistic person, and most every part of my life fits into my style. My style really comes out through my choice in music and my wardrobe. But, no single piece of me can just be picked up and analyzed. To really know me, you have to look at all of me.
My taste in music is really unlike that of anybody I’ve ever met. I listen to things that range from rock to electronica to classical. My favorite song in the world is Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, but one of my favorite musicians is Girl Talk, a crazy, peppy, up-beat mashup artist. U2 has heavily influenced my taste, but so have the Beastie Boys. I love having fun with my music, but I also love being intellectually stimulated. If you were to try to summarize my music in one word, you wouldn’t be able to.
My wardrobe is probably one of the better indicators of who I am. I own lots of brightly colored shorts and shirts, and I don’t shy away from anything I like, even if people judge me for it. Even with my school uniform, I customize it as much as I’m allowed, so I can be me, even when there are restrictions. Apart from this, a lot of my clothes carry more meaning. At a glance, my current outfit would just be some loud shorts and a tacky old t-shirt. However, I bought these shorts with my dad on a road-trip to Illinois, and this shirt was given to me by a good friend.
I am me, and I don’t let other people’s opinions of what’s “cool” sway me. I listen to the music I want to and wear the things I want to. I am an individual, and I’m proud of it.
