Welcome to the Fallout

I am not my job, I am not my school, I am not my family, I am not my furniture, I am not my computer.
I am me.

me

This was an essay I had to write for a summer assignment, but I like it a lot. Enjoy.

I am a very stylistic person, and most every part of my life fits into my style. My style really comes out through my choice in music and my wardrobe. But, no single piece of me can just be picked up and analyzed. To really know me, you have to look at all of me.
My taste in music is really unlike that of anybody I’ve ever met. I listen to things that range from rock to electronica to classical. My favorite song in the world is Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, but one of my favorite musicians is Girl Talk, a crazy, peppy, up-beat mashup artist. U2 has heavily influenced my taste, but so have the Beastie Boys. I love having fun with my music, but I also love being intellectually stimulated. If you were to try to summarize my music in one word, you wouldn’t be able to.
My wardrobe is probably one of the better indicators of who I am. I own lots of brightly colored shorts and shirts, and I don’t shy away from anything I like, even if people judge me for it. Even with my school uniform, I customize it as much as I’m allowed, so I can be me, even when there are restrictions. Apart from this, a lot of my clothes carry more meaning. At a glance, my current outfit would just be some loud shorts and a tacky old t-shirt. However, I bought these shorts with my dad on a road-trip to Illinois, and this shirt was given to me by a good friend.
I am me, and I don’t let other people’s opinions of what’s “cool” sway me. I listen to the music I want to and wear the things I want to. I am an individual, and I’m proud of it.

John 8:7

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, 'He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.'"

Traffic Violations

...are oh so fun! Only not really! I'm so steamed about this right now. Uuuuuugh. I got a ticket in the mail today for not fully stopping at a red light before turning right. Notice how long the light had yellow and red for this whole process:

Really? 0.453 seconds? Whatever. Fucking city can have my $75. It's not worth it.

p.s. Sorry about the crinkliness. I got pissed and balled it up and threw it away at first.

I am disappointed with myself

So yesterday I got my SAT scores back, and I really didn't do as well as I'd hoped to. This disappoints me a lot. Like, I have these huge dreams and aspirations and I'm really ambitious, but now I feel like I don't have enough to back that with. Before I took it, I always just kinda assumed that I would do well enough, but apparently not. It just sorta sucks to see myself to worse than I want to, and it's not like that score is something I can really work at all that much. I don't even really have grades that good, either, and I was banking on my testing scores to make up for that at least a little. Uuuuuggghhh. I don't even know. Hopefully I can do better next time.

New Blog

I just made a new blog for all the stuff out of my doodling notebooks from middle school.
You should look at it.
It's here.
Sooo yeah.
